Car's history:
- A product of one businesman's claim that it was rediculous that a pig could take a train from coast to coast, but a person had to change trains, the Santa Fe 4-4-2 sleeper would be transferred at Chicago onto a Santa Fe train to continue westward. These "Chief" trains were complemented with three gray transcontinental cars, one each from the PRR, NYC and B&O.
